We are seeking passionate individuals who are deeply committed to serving the community and advocating for families of color. Ideal candidates are driven to listen, identify needs, and help build accessible, culturally responsive resource connections that uplift and empower.
In addition to a strong desire to engage with the community, members must bring patience and flexibility, as this newly formed committee is still in the early stages of development. Together, we will shape its structure, values, and impact—laying the foundation for lasting change.
Purpose
The Action and Advisory Committee strengthens ROCC by offering strategic guidance, sharing lived
experiences, and connecting us with the broader community.
Why It Matters
ROCC’s mission is to build equity, leadership, and access to resources for communities of
color. Having trusted advisors ensures our programs stay grounded, relevant, and impactful.
Role of Committe Members
• Provide feedback and insight on community needs and ROCC initiatives.
• Act as ambassadors by raising awareness and opening doors through networks.
• Support resource-building through introductions, ideas, and opportunities.
• Encourage youth leadership and serve as mentors when possible.
Expectations
Light but meaningful—attend monthly meetings, join at least 3 ROCC initiative or event a
year, and share your expertise and connections.
